Hello Folks 👋
What's up friends, this is SnowBit here. I am a young passionate and self-taught frontend web developer and have an intention to become a successful developer.
Here, I am presenting Revelar, a website where you can reveal the real destination of any shortened URL and keeps you aware of the website's metadata.
While we like to think that the internet brings us closer together, it also has its drawbacks. Today, due to its massive popularity, people can easily get scammed - for instance through shortened links.
The problem is, the user is not aware of the real destination of that shortened link. It's just like you are blindfolded and walking by someone else instructions or controlled by someone.
I was in a Discord Server where people send lots of shortened and magic links that are almost rickrolling links and I always use to rickrolled by link senders. So, that day I decided to make a web app that displays me the real destinations of the shortened links. That prevents me from rickrolling. 😅
So, Revelar came into existence.
What does Revelar mean?
- In Spanish Revelar means to reveal
- As of meaning it reveals any URL.
